T-Ball (ages 4 – 6)

Play Tuesday & Thursday + practice

The season is from the end of April to the end of June. Players receive a medal and a team picture. The uniform is returned to the coach at the end of the season. The games are played at various diamonds on the North side of Edmonton including Kirkness Park and Castle Downs Park. All players are placed on a team before the season starts. There are usually 8 – 10 teams. There are two games per week and one scheduled practice per week. Game days are Tuesday and Thursday. In addition, coaches schedule practices on the weekends. Game time is 6:30 p.m. to about 7:45 p.m. The players should arrive at 6:00 p.m. to stretch and warm up. Everyone plays in the field and everyone in the line up bats. No player sits on the bench.

All the players participate in the game.

Rookie (ages 7 & 8)

Everyone plays in the field and everyone in the lineup bats. No player sits on the bench. All the players participate in the game.

The players are evaluated at practice sessions before the season starts. After these sessions, a draft is held to disperse the players. The Division is comprised of a minimum of 4 teams. The teams play on Tuesday and Thursday and practice on the weekends. Games are played at Kirkness Park at 151 Avenue and 30 Street and Castle Downs Park located at 158 Avenue and 115 Street. The players are expected to be at the appropriate baseball diamond by 6:00 p.m. for warm-up exercises and the games start at 6:30 p.m. The games end at about 8:15 p.m. Every player on the lineup card bats, even if they did not play in the field. No player may sit on the bench for more than one inning in a row. At the completion of the regular season, all players can tryout for the ALL-STAR teams. There are extra games and practices associated with these teams. ALL-STAR players will play in the citywide Little League tournament in July to determine the City champions. The winners will then travel to the Prairie Championship Tournament where they will compete against other Alberta Little League winners. The winner of the Prairie Championship will be the Little League Alberta Champion.

At the completion of the regular season, all players are given the opportunity to tryout for the ALL-STAR teams. There are extra games and practices associated with these teams. ALL-STAR players will play in the citywide Little League tournament in July to determine the City champions. The winner of the Prairie Championship will then travel to the Canadian Championship Tournament where they will compete against other Provincial Little League winners. Junior (ages 13 & 14)

The season is from the end of April to the end of June. Players receive a team picture. The uniform is returned to the coach at the end of the season. The players are evaluated at practice sessions before the season starts. After these sessions, the coaches select the team. The team plays in an inter-city league against East Park and Confederation Park. Games are once or twice a week with one or two practices a week. There are usually 6-8 teams. Home diamond is at Castle Downs Park located at 158 Avenue and 115 Street. The players are expected to be at the appropriate baseball diamond by 6:00 pm for warm-up exercises with games starting at 6:30 pm. The games end at about 8:15 to 8:30 pm. Every player on the lineup card bats, in order, even if they did not play in the field. No player sits on the bench for more than two innings in a row. At the completion of the regular season, all players (aged 13 and 14, Juniors and Canadians) are given the opportunity to tryout for the ALL-STAR team. There are extra games and practices associated with this team. ALL-STAR players will play in the citywide tournament in July to determine the City champions. The winners will then travel to the Prairie Championship Tournament where they will compete against other Alberta Little League winners. The winner of the Prairie Championship will then travel to the Canadian Championship Tournament where they will compete against other Provincial Little League winners. The winner of the Canadian Championship will then travel to the Junior Little League World Series in the United States where they will represent Canada in the tournament.

The players are expected to be at the appropriate baseball diamond by 6:00 pm for warm-up exercises with games starting at 6:30 pm. The games end at about 8:15 to 8:30 pm. At the completion of the regular season, all players are given the opportunity to tryout for the ALL-STAR team. There are extra games and practices associated with this team. ALL-STAR players will play in the citywide tournament in July to determine the City champions. The winners will then travel to the Prairie Championship Tournament where they will compete against other Alberta Little League winners.
